Adventure On Wheels Ltd and Active Sports are providers of recreational adventure at its best, providing activities and adventure on the Water, and over Land, to industry, education, and the general public.

Introduction

The Glendearg Sortie is ideal for improvers and intermediates - easy to drive with lots of thrills, covering 10 miles of hills and hollows.

The day starts with an introduction to the Bikes, then intense training on the safe use of our Bikes over rough terrain.

With our training behind us we then start our drive up and over the Glendearg Hills/Valleys. climbing up to a height over 1000 feet! No roads, just rough wild country, what a buzz! WHAT A GREAT DAY! 

It’s a short day, approximately 3-4 hours.  Although the terrain can be steep and dangerous it is relatively safe for those trained in the safe and proper handling of a Dirt/Trail Bike.

Please note: This trip is not for first timers with Active Sports

One Driver only per bike. Children aged 13 - 18 will require adult supervision (on a Bike)

It’s great fun no matter what the weather or the time of year, and once you have mastered the basics skills you will love the challenge of our more technical trails.

In general:

• Children aged 13 to 18 years will require adult supervision, ie parent, guardian etc. (on a bike)
• Height  restrictions apply - minimum inside leg length 26 inches.
• Helmets and body armour are provided.
• Our courses are ideal for:

Beginners - You have never driven a motorbike. You may have been a passenger and would like to find out what it is like, but without the worry of sharing the road with other vehicles, and don't hold a driving licence.

Improvers - You have hade some experience driving a bike, reasonably happy in changing gear, stopping and starting without falling over. (most of the time!)

Intermediates - You are confident, even very confident in driving a motorbike but never driven a bike off road and think it might improve your on road handling skills.
