PROGRESSIVE RIDING

"Its about using new skills in addition to old skills, not instead of"

Adventure on Wheels Ltd working together with Active Sports, are providers of recreational adventure at its best, providing activities with adventure, over Land and Water to industry, education, and the general public.

What is Progressive Riding?

Progressive riding is the continuous  process of learning and developing your roadcraft skills, it's about obtaining information quickly to evaluate and plan and to help keep you safe by being in the right place at the right time at the right speed. In summary "Becoming A Better Rider"

Riding a motorcycle has two core points

  1. the physical (as in presence, power, elements),

  2. the mental,

together they produce your outcome  as a rider.

ATRO After Test Ride Outs. This is a post-test ride out for those who have just passed their motorcycle test (not CBT). It is designed to help you think about your future as a  "biker" and may well involve a dramatic change in your driving style, perception and attitude to motorcycling.

Half Day Refresher - We look at all your old skills, most likely the ones that you past your test with, whenever that was. (OSM PSL)

Half Day Improver - We look at all your old skills and enhance on them taking you to a new higher level of "physical and mental" awareness'

Full Day Improver - These are demanding days involving high speed evasive action and emergency stopping, overtaking procedures, as well as slow speed manoeuvres and many other defensive riding attributes.

... now think about this ...

After passing their bike test, most motorcyclists don't develop new skills, they simply become complacent and confident in the lower-end skills they were trained in to pass their test. This makes them a more confident biker but not a safer and better biker. Does this apply to anyone you know?
