Active Sports working together with Adventure on Wheels Ltd, are providers of tours and outdoor activities at their best, to industry, education, and the general public.

School Groups

Teachers, Head Teachers or Principals ... are you looking for something different for next year's residential experience?

Then read on!

Active Sports is an outdoor activity company that has been running its business in the heart of the Scottish Borders for some eight years.  We have a wealth of experience and qualifications within the company spanning over 24 different activities.  Our staff are selected for their high level of personal motivation, experience and qualifications and come from a wide variety of backgrounds, primarily industry and education.

On arrival a group is allocated to their apartments

Our philosophy is based on two simple beliefs: first of all, that everyone is capable of achieving more than they might realise; and secondly, that too few people have a real appreciation of what can be achieved by teamwork and mutual support.

With this in mind, one of the key elements of our business is the provision of multi-activity holidays for schools, colleges and organised parties.  Our new ASCEND programme means we are putting more people in touch with more courses, more services, more facilities and certainly more fun!  For those of you who have never been on an Active Sports course before, you couldn’t have chosen a better year to start.  We have a fantastic range of 24 different activities based on the three elements – Land, Water and Air - we can tailor a programme to suit your establishment’s requirements.  Our activities are more than just time away from study: they can be used as a vehicle for the personal and social development of your students.  We try to base much of our residential experience for educational groups at Whitmuir Hall, the centre for many of our activities.  There are 30 acres of grounds which allow groups to wander and explore in relative safety, giving group leaders peace of mind  - please see the section on this CD entitled “Accommodation”.
